About the Journal

Journal of the Norwegian Psychological Association is a peer-reviewed journal owned by the Norwegian Psychological Association. We publish primarily in Norwegian, but scientific articles can also be published in English.

Since 1973, Journal of the Norwegian Psychological Association has been a central arena for professional exchange among psychologists in Norway.

All articles are published under an open access license and are freely available at www.psykologtidsskriftet.no. We do not charge any fees from authors.

Our goal is to be a professionally quality-assured resource specifically targeting psychologists' needs for relevant and up-to-date information in their practical professional practice. Journal of the Norwegian Psychological Association shall contribute to professional maintenance and ethical attitude formation for psychologists in their various fields of activity. We strive to promote debate on health policies.

Journal of the Norwegian Psychological Association aims to stimulate research and professional development and is an approved scientific publisher.

Journal of the Norwegian Psychological Association is edited in line with the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Allegations of misconduct

Journal of the Norwegian Psychological Association has set high standards for identifying and discouraging the publication of manuscripts where research misconduct has occurred.

Allegations of research misconduct relating to any manuscript published in our journal that are brought to the attention of the editorial staff will be dealt with according to COPE guidelines for handling allegations of research misconduct.
