Peer review policy

All scientific articles published in Journal of the Norwegian Psychological Association have undergone peer review.

We practise a single-blind peer review process whereby reviewers know the identity of the authors, but authors do not know the identity of the reviewers.

Scientific manuscripts that proceed after the first editorial review are sent to external and independent peer reviewers. Three experts on the relevant method and topic will usually make an assessment of the manuscript.

When the peer reviews are received by the editorial staff, the manuscript is discussed by the editorial staff. The authors receive feedback from the reviewers, and the manuscript is then followed up by one of our editors.

The journal publishes other types of manuscripts. Non-scientific manuscripts are not subject to peer review but are assessed by the editor.
